Oral Hancock, 82, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Wednesday, August 05, 2020 in Columbia.
He was born August 20, 1937, in Wayne County, to the late Loren and Glenna Hancock and was also preceded in death by one brother, Edgar Hancock and four sisters, Charlene Taylor, Betty Burton, Jewell Law and Geneva Ray.
Oral was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and businessman in Columbia, starting the family business, Hancock Tire in 1995 and remained a vital part of the business as long as he was able.
Two sons – Alex (Pam) Hancock and Troy (Donna) Hancock all of Columbia
Two daughters – Tracy Lewis and Tasha Warren (Travis Cole) all of Columbia
Four brothers – Gerald Hancock of Columbus, Indiana, Jay Reed Hancock of Springfield, Virginia, Jeff Hancock of Russell County, Ronnie Hancock of Columbia
Two sisters – Vera Burris of Columbus, Indiana and Carolyn Sue Perry of Flora, Illinois
Five grandchildren – Dustin, Rachel, Jayden, Jaxon and Amber
Five great-grandchildren – Skye, Blaide, Keegan, Tripton and Jaylin
Special caregivers – His former wife, Brenda Hancock and Teresa Dean
A local sister-in-law – Rosella Hancock of Columbia
Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, customers and friends
Funeral service – Sunday, August 9, 2020 at 12:00 P.M. at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Pescosolido officiating
Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery
Visitation after 5:00 P.M. Saturday and 8:00 A.M. Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church
