Davis Owen Turner, 75 of Elizabethtown, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville.
He was a native of Columbia, KY and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was co-owners of A-1 Lock & Key, a member of the Association of Locksmiths of America and Central State Locksmiths. He attended Glendale Christian Church and enjoyed playing and singing gospel music.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lela Coomer Turner and a sister, Jean Carolyn (Arthur) Frost.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn Powell Turner; two daughters, Angela Turner and Amanda Gary (Mike Cecil) all of Elizabethtown; one sister, Virginia Nell Sturgeon (Ken) of Shepherdsville; four grandchildren, Allison Kurfiss, Kailie Gary, Jared Kurfiss and Braden Gary; a niece, Kimberly Powell and special friends, Murrell and Karen Burton.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Glendale Christian Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and continue after 12 noon Friday at the funeral home.
