Dillard “Eddie” Pike, 84
Dillard “Eddie” Pike, age 84, of Nancy, Ky, departed this life on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Laurel Heights in London, Ky.
Eddie was born on June 1, 1935, in Adair County, Ky to the late Clyde Pike and Eula Gentry Pike. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and 50 year member of Nancy Masonic Lodge. Eddie attended Piney Grove Baptist Church #2 in Nancy. He was an employee at Tecumseh and Lear Siegler where he worked in maintenance for many years. Eddie was an avid hunter and enjoyed trading knives.
He is survived by; one daughter, Gina Pike (and Victor Vaughn), of Russell Springs, Ky; one son, Christopher Edwin (and Tracey) Pike, of Jamestown, Ky; two grandchildren, Ethan Pike and Kacey Pike, both of Russell Springs, Ky; two brothers, Euen (and Lillie) Pike of Columbia, KY and Norbert (and Daisey) Pike of New Albany, Ind; one sister, Cleta Thomas of Louisville, Ky; one step-son, Steve (and Anita) Tucker, of Jabez, Ky; two step grandchildren, Joshua (and Chelsea) Tucker and Kyra Tucker, of Nancy; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Jane Fox Pike, whom he married on August 15, 1980 and she preceded him on December 16, 2013; one sister, Velita Duvall; and two brothers, Arvial Burford Pike and Eldridge Pike.
A private service will be held for the immediate family at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at Mill Springs National Cemetery.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
