Mary Streeval
Mary Versie Streeval, 92, of Columbia died peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the Summit Manor Nursing Home.
Born in Adair County she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Maude Simpson Foster and wife of the late John Ed Streeval.
Mrs. Streeval was a lifelong member of the Bloomington Brethren in Christ Church where she was a part of the Ladies Missionary Group. Versie loved to sing and the other residents at summit manor often requested her to sing hymns for them, she also loved cooking and camping.
Mrs. Streeval is survived by: her children, Joyce Denton (Alvin), Darlene Wray (Lindon), Loretta Turner (Billy), Charlie Streeval (Ruth Ann), Connie Reynolds (Paul), Edward Streeval and Annetta Burton (Eddie) all of Columbia; 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; three sisters, Jewell Harmon of Ind., Freda Black of Ind. and Lois Burton of Tenn.; three half-sisters, Deanie Bryant, Leoma Hadley and Martha Wheat all of Ind. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, J. R. Streeval (Joan), a granddaughter, Linda Parker, and a brother, Willie Foster.
Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Bearwallow Cemetery.
Bro. Tim Lewis and Bro. Ralph Foster officiated and pallbearers were Jeff Streeval, Jerry Streeval, Terry Denton, Steve Turner, Marty Turner, Jonathan Reynolds, Rodney Reynolds and David Streeval.
