Porter Stotts

Porter “Junior” Stotts, 70, of Columbia died Monday, February 4, 2019 at the St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville. Born in the Breeding community of Adair County, he was the son of the late Porter and Sophia Furkin Stotts. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Stotts and one sister, Minnie Marie Stotts.

Junior was a very active member of the Kellyville Community Church and loved serving his church and savior. He and his wife, Connie, are the owners of Stotts Construction Company, Inc. He is a Kentucky Colonel and was very active in the Adair County community and Kentucky Politics.

His survivors include his wife, Connie Fletcher Stotts of Columbia; one son, Barry (Tammy) Stotts of Columbia; one daughter Melissa (Shane Ross) Stotts of Auburntown, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Ashton Stotts, Cody Stotts, Austin Ramsey, and Alex Ramsey; two step grandchildren, James (Tiffany) Walker and Justin Walker; one step great grandchild, Will Walker; one brother, Todd (Linda) Stotts of Breeding; one sister Celystine Baker (late Odell Baker) of Columbia; one sister-in-law, Patricia Stotts Phipps; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Kellyville Community Church at 77 Kellyville Rd. Columbia, with burial in the Fudge Cemetery in Breeding. Visitation will be on Friday from 1:00pm-8:00pm at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9:00am-11:00am at the Kellyville Community Church.

Bro. Stanley Watson, Bro. Bobby Withers and Bro. John Campbell will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Dan Lawhorn, Doug Melton, Junior Smith, Billy Crew, Jimmy Branham, and John Speers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kellyville Community Church, 3 Trees Church, or the Fudge Cemetery fund.
