Janet Smith

Janet Hill Smith, 66, a resident of Summit Manor Nursing Home, died January 6, 2019 at TJ Health/Columbia Emergency Room.

She was born August 25, 1952 in Warren, Ohio to the late Robert Carlisle and Sally Jane Allard Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Grubb and a brother, David Ray Hill. Janet served in the U.S. Army for two years.

Her survivors include three sons, Edward Grubb of Louisville, J.D. Grubb of Campbellsville, and Eric Grubb of Illinois; one daughter, Jennifer Williams of Pennsylvania; one brother, Robert C. Hill, Jr. of Rome, Ohio; one sister, Jane Cessna of Marion, Montana; and several other relatives and friends.

Cremation was chosen, and no services will be held locally.

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
