Anthony Bridgewater

Anthony DeCarlo “Tony Bass” Bridgewater, 62, of Columbia died Friday, December 7, 2018 at TJ Health/Columbia.

He was born October 2, 1956, in Adair County, formerly worked in construction, enjoyed fishing, watching the UK Wildcats, and loved his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene “Dukie” Hughes; his mother, Jeanette Jones Bridgewater; one daughter, Telica Taylor; three brothers, Billy Bridgewater, Jimmy, and Billy Curry; and three sisters, Deborah and Eyvonne Bridgewater, and Jean Jones.

His survivors include one son, Taran Taylor of Columbia; two daughters, Tera and Antoinette Childers both of Columbia; four brothers, Keenan “Redbone” Bridgewater of Frankfort, Charles Curry of Louisville, Rod and Mark Curry both of Columbia; six sisters, Leetta Willis of Lexington, Jane Walkup, Kathy Bridgewater, Rhonda Jones and Vonda Bridgewater all of Columbia, and Jada Jones of Bowling Green; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 12 p.m. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Jones Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. on Friday.
