Albert Burton

Albert Burton, 85, of Byrdstown, Tennessee formerly of Adair County, passed away Tuesday, Oct 9, 2018 at 12:29 PM at The Medical Center at Albany, in Albany, Kentucky.

He was born on Jan. 30, 1933 in Adair County. He was the son of the late Leslie and Annie Streeval Burton of Adair County.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters: Edgar Burton, Kenneth Burton, Luther Burton, Edith Bailey, Mary Kimbler and Izena Burton.

Albert is survived by his wife, Lois Foster Burton, of Byrdstown, Tennnessee; two daughters, Ella (Jerry) Rothrock, of Elizabethtown, Indiana, and Wanda (Max) Israel of Columbus, Indiana; two sons, Eddie (Diane) Burton, of Byrdstown, Tennessee, and Ricky (Lynn) Burton, of Monroe, Tennessee; three brothers, Edward (Darlene) Burton and Phillip Burton, both of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Jack (Kathy) Burton, of Bedford, Indiana; one sister, Martha (David) Bernard, of Russell Springs, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives friends.

Albert attended the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Albany, Kentucky. He loved fishing and hunting, and was retired from Webb Verner Company in Indiana.

Funeral service  are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

The clergy officiating is Bro. Ralph Foster and Bro. Dennis Roberts.

Interment will be in the Bearwallow Cemetery. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements. Pallbearers will be Chris Burton, Rodney Burton, Derick Burton, Jarrod Rothrock, Bow Watkins and Jeffrey Bernard.
