Genoice Sexton

Genoice (Matney) Sexton, 86, of Louisville, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018.

Born in Green County, she was a long-time member of Briargate Presbyterian and retired as a surveyor from Southern Surveys.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Uarl “Shorty” Sexton in 2002; parents; and brother.

She is survived by her daughters, Gale Jeffries (Barry), Connie Sexton-Hughes (Lester), and Becky George (David); nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and three sisters.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. EST Friday, September 7 at Briargate Presbyterian Church, 2100 Upper Hunters Trace with burial to follow in Moore Cemetery, in Adair County at 1 p.m. CST.  Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
