Robert Ray Brown

Robert Ray Brown, 77, the son of the late Abraham and Stella Johnson Brown, was born Saturday, August 9, 1941in Russell County and departed this life on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 in Knifley at his home. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a retired minister of the Church of the Nazarene, served as pastor of Rheber, Creelsboro, King Bee and Brandenburg Church of the Nazarene and served twice as pastor of the Knifley Brethren in Christ. He was a Veteran of Vietnam, having served in the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Nina West Brown of Knifley; two sons, Robert Wayne Brown of Campbellsville and Cydnee Jayne Praxis of Louisville; two grandchildren, Will Clark-Praxis and Audrey Rose Clark-Praxis; two sisters-in-law, Mary (Danny) Woodcox of Campbellsville and Betty Arnold of Columbia, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 11 siblings.

The family has chosen cremation and no public services are scheduled at this time.
