Goldie “Bell” Jones

Goldie “Bell” Jones age 91 years formerly of Adair County passed away Monday, May 21, 2018, at 8:05 p.m. at Green Hill Rehab and Nursing Home in Greensburg, Ky.

She was born on Oct. 23, 1926, in Adair County, the daughter of late William Silas and Anna Lou Burdine Burton.

She was the widow of Clint “Buck” Grant and Billy Gene Jones. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters: Raymond Ray Burton, Vernon Burton, Hollis E. Burton, Eula Warren, Beulah Caldwell and Nannie Overstreet.

She is survived by: one son, Bill (Charlotte) Grant of Columbia; two grandchildren William Kevin (Julie) Grant and Cynthia Kathryn (James) Ward; two great-grandchildren, Logan Chase Grant and Victoria Elizabeth Ward; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends survive.

She was a member of Egypt Christian Church, she loved flowers, crafts, fishing, one of the organizers of the Knifley Fire Department, active in the

Democratic Party and worked to help raise funds for the up- keep of Bearwallow Cemetery.

Funeral service will be Thursday, May 24, 201,8 at 11:00 a.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Hugh Withers officiating.

Interment will be in Bearwallow Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Larry Warren, Kevin Grant, Buddy Overstreet, Jimmy Overstreet, Jason Warren, Cynthia Ward and JaredPaulTucker.
