David McFarland

David McFarland, age 75, of Russell Springs, Ky. passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington Ky. He was retired from General Motors and was of the Baptist faith. He was born on Sunday, Nov. 1, 1942, in Russell County the son of the late Arnold and Flora Lay McFarland.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara McFarland; two sisters, Ruth Hadley and Evelyn (Eris) Dunbar, both Russell Springs; four brothers, Darrell (Paulette) McFarland, Roger McFarland, Donald McFarland, and Joan McFarland, all of Russell Springs. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and special friends: Sandra Edwards, Trish, and Stevie Roy. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Everest McFarland and Juanita Dunbar. Funeral services were held Friday, April 20, 2018, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, Ky. with Stevie Roy officiating. Interment was in the Union Cemetery, Highway 3525, Russell Springs.
