Leola Edmonds, 83 of Columbia, Ky. passed away at her home Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018 at 10:32 a.m..
She was born Dec. 2, 1934, in Chance, Ky. the daughter of the late Elbert and Stella Akin Janes.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Matthew Janes and sisters Evola Farrow, Marcella Burris and Lois Willis
She is survived by two brothers, Rev. Jadell Janes and wife Carolyn of Columbia and Rev. Russell Janes and wife Dee of Cave City, Ky.; two sisters, Joyce Wallace and husband Danny of Columbia, Sue Jenkins and husband Jim of Tampa, Fla.; six nephews, eight nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Edmonds was a member of the Milltown United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling, yard work, birds, and pets.
Funeral service was held on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Rev. William Davenport and Rev. Daniel Lyons officiating.
Interment was in the Haven Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Steve Burris, Brian Janes, Glen Janes, Neil Janes, Tanner Janes, and Tracy Willis.
