FEMA DISASTER RECOVERY OFFICE TO OPEN WEDNESDAY

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced that it will be opening a Disaster Recovery Center in Adair County, Wednesday, May 26.
The office will be located in the basement of the Adair County Courthouse Annex on the Public Square and will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
According to Debbie Simon with FEMA External Affairs, staff at the recovery center will be on hand to assist individuals, businesses and private non-profit organizations.
Prior to coming to the recovery center, those seeking assistance need to call FEMA at 1-800-621-3362 and obtain a registration number. If you are unable to make this phone call prior to the office’s opening, you can come to the center and phones will be provided to call and get the registration number. No appointment is necessary.
