FOUR ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH Armed ROBBERY
Officers from the Columbia Police Department executed a search warrant at a Burkesville Street residence early Wednesday morning that resulted in the arrest of four individuals, three of which were charged with an armed robbery that occurred earlier in the week. According to Columbia Police Chief Mark Harris, at approximately 12:51 a.m. yesterday, CPD officer executed a search warrant at the residence of Isidro Almazan and Luis Almazan located at 900 Burkesville Street. During the search, 19-year-old Isidro Almazan, of Columbia, and 19-year-old Luis Almazan, also of Columbia, were taken into custody and both charged with robbery first degree. Also arrested were Cindy Rowe, 35, of Columbia, who was charged with complicity to commit robbery in the first degree, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of marijuana, and George Norris, 52, of Columbia, who was charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution second degree. All four were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail. Chief Harris said that the arrests were made in connection with an incident that occurred late Sunday night, Nov. 1, on Parrott Avenue where a Russell County woman was robbed at gunpoint of $300 in cash and jewelry and then assaulted. The investigation is being continued by CPD Officer Brad Scholl. Officer Scholl was assisted by additional members of the CPD, deputies with the Adair County Sheriff's Department and KSP K-9 Trooper Martin Wesley.
