Talton "Red" Mercer

Talton "Red" Mercer age 71 years of 2005 Breeding Loop, Breeding, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 8:40 p.m. at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY after a short illness.
He was the son of the late: Hillary Alexander and Neva Geneva Glidewell Mercer of Clay County, Tennessee.
Mr. Mercer is survived by his wife, Caroline "Carolyn" Hultz Mercer of Breeding, KY; one daughter, GiGi Starlotta Mercer of Anderson, Indiana; two brothers: Alton Mercer of Rickman, Tennessee, Harnold Mercer of Gainsboro, TN; one sister: Opalyne Franklin of Rickman, Tennessee; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive.
Mr. Mercer was a member of the Columbia Church of Christ, retired from the General Motors Ft. Wayne Assembly Plant, an auctioneer and a farmer and a member of the Masonic Lodge #259 in Livingston, Tennessee.
Funeral service was held Monday, February 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, Columbia, KY with Dean M. Roach officiating.
Interment in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Breeding, KY.
The pallbearers were: Brad Arnold, Maurice Cheatham, Daryll Bradshaw, Harold Bradshaw, Jimmy Stone and Lenny Stone.
