James S. Collins, Jr.

James S. Collins, Jr., 57, of Springtown, Texas, formerly of Adair County, died Tuesday, January 19, 2010 surrounded by his family at his home.
He was involved in trucking activities and was an owner/operator of his own truck. He also worked as a mechanic for many years. He liked to spend his free time outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his father, James S. Collins, Sr., and his wife Edra "Bobbie Nell" Collins of Columbia; his mother, Laura Jeanette Jessee Collins of Weatherford, TX; one son, James S. Collins, III, and wife Stacy of Saginaw, TX; one daughter, Kimberly S. Collins of Springtown, TX; four grandchildren: Taylor, Dakota, Shelby and Cayden Collins; his brothers and sisters: Judy L. Snider, Ricky Collins, Kerry Collins, Jeff Collins, Marsha Cook, Sandy VanArsdale, and Cindy Collins-Dubree. Several nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at White's Funeral Home in Springtown, TX with burial in Jaybird Cemetery in Springtown.
The family requests visitation today, Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
