Mildred Thomas

MILDRED THOMAS, age 76 years, of 415 Adair Ave. Columbia, KY passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. at the Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY after several months illness.
She was the daughter of the late Will and Carrie Holmes Combest of Adair Co. KY. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Thomas on June 21, 2006 and one sister, Louise Rogers
She is survived by two sons: Jeff Thomas and his wife Valerie of Columbia, KY and Greg Thomas of Columbia, KY; two brothers: Joe Ed Combest of Glasgow, KY and Billy Combest of Edinburg, Indiana; five sisters: Edna Young of Indiana, Gladys Murrell of Columbia, KY, Helen Simpson of Glasgow, KY, Bessie Willis of Columbia, KY and Betty Logsdon of Glasgow, KY; two grand-children: Kristi Irvin and her husband Marty and David Thomas; two great grand-children: Madison Irvin and Braxton Irvin. Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends also survive.
Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker, she worked for Thomas Photography for several years. She was a member of the Adair Chapter of Order of Eastern Star #435.
Funeral service will be held today, Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Martin officiating.
Interment in the Haven Hill Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be: James Curry, Fay Davidson, Terry Harvey, Billy Pickett, Cory Rogers, and Billy Murrell Willis.
