Robert McClister

Robert McClister, age 87 years of 6092 Burkesville Road, Columbia, Kentucky (the Flatwoods Community) passed away Monday, December 14, 2009 at 8:07 PM at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY after a short illness.
He was the son of the late: Ray and Elmer Petty McClister of Adair Co.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Louise Stotts McClister of Columbia; four daughters: Vernice Lawhorn and her husband, Raymond of Columbia, KY, Bonnie Lawhorn and her husband Randall of Columbia, KY, Helen Willis and her husband Ricky of Columbia, KY, Shirley Powell and her husband Kenny of Columbia, KY; three sons: Danny McClister and his wife, Debbie of Columbia, KY, Jackie McClister and his wife, Peggy of Burkesville, KY, Donnie McClister and a special friend, Donna Henderson of Campbellsville KY; and one sister, Zelpha Wheeler of Columbia, KY.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers: Nola Melson, Corrine Furkins, Beauna Woods, Bryce McClister, Bill McClister and Garnett McClister.
Mr. McClister was a member of the Flatwoods Separate Baptist Church for over 46 years.
Funeral service will be held today, Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Carol Perkins officiating.
Interment in the McClister Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Todd Corbin, Jason Lawhorn, Randy Lawhorn, Jeremy McClister, Joey McClister and Kevin Willis.
