Cloyd Andy Lacy

Cloyd Andy Lacy, 93, of Old Columbia Road, Russell Springs, KY, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at his residence.
He was born on February 19, 1916 in Cumberland County to the late John Howe Lacy and Stella Petty Lacy. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers: Edgar, Raymond, Alton, and Clarence Lacy and three sisters: Betty Warren, Verda Stapp, and Victoria Lacy.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Ion Wade Lacy of Russell Springs; one son, Dr. John Howard (Cindi) Lacy of Danville, KY; three daughters: Marilyn L. (Lowell) Clark of Frankfort, KY, Meda (Louis) Antle of Louisville, KY, and Sherry (Bob) Strobeck, Orlando, Florida; nine grandchildren: Mike Clark, Sally (Frank) Trette, Tom Clark, Shannon (Joe) Hamilton, Ash Lacy, Jill (Lawrence) Young, Mark (Susie) Williams, Brian (Rossanni) Strobeck, and Katherine Lacy, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Lacy was the owner of Western Auto Store for 53 years, member of Russell Springs United Methodist Church, Lions Club (50 years), and Russell Springs Masonic Lodge for 65 years.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Russell Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Kingry officiating. Special music was by Wes Bottom, Sheila McKinley, and Helen Brumley.
Burial was in the Columbia City Cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearers were: RSUMC Men's Class of Freedom.
Active Pallbearers were: Mark Williams, Lawrence Young, Joe Hamilton, Mike Clark, Tom Clark, Brian Strobeck, Ash Lacy, and Frank Trette.
The family requests expressions of sympathy may be made to the building fund of the Russell Springs United Methodist Church.
Bernard Funeral Home in Russell Springs was in charge of arrangements.
