Lyda Holt

Lyda Holt, age 90 years, of 1992 Montpelier Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 5:40 A.M. at the Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center in Somerset, KY after an illness.
She was the daughter of the late Curtis and Bessie Holt McGaha of Adair Co.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Holt on June 26, 1985, and by one infant daughter, Sarah Montress Holt in 1961.
She is survived by four sons: C.J. Holt, Dallas Holt and Ronnie Holt, all of Columbia, KY and James Holt of Dry Branch, Georgia; four daughters: Brenda Alexander of Columbia, KY, Linda Holt of Somerset, KY, Mary Ann Wilson of Liberty, KY and Jean Callison of Dry Branch, Georgia; one brother, Russell McGaha of Campbellsville, KY; and two sisters: Allene Wilson and Bernice Dare, both of Jeffersonville, IN. Twenty-two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
Mrs. Holt was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and a homemaker.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 21, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Dean Roach officiating.
Interment in the Haven Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Steven Callison, John Doss, Ben Holt, Jared Holt, Matthew Holt and Patrick Holt.
The Honorary Pallbearer was Brandon Branham.
