Eugene Mabin

Eugene Mabin, 84, of Greensburg, KY, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 1:15 a.m. at his residence.
He was born in Wathens, Kansas on January 10, 1925, son of the late Edward R. and Viola Marie Reynolds Mabin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lottie Mabin and later married Mary Mabin, who survives.
Other survivors include two daughters: Shirley Thomas of Greensburg and Gina Smith of Clarksville, TN; one brother: Donald Mabin of Gardenia, CA, and two sisters: Juanita Mitchell and Gladys Thompson, both of Markham, IL. Fifteen grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Ann Donaldson.
Mr. Mabin was a retired chef, a farmer, a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of Kelleyville Community Church.
Funeral service will be held today, Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Pastor Corrie Shull and Rev. Stanley Watson officiating.
Burial in Cane Valley Cemetery with full military honors presented by VFW Post 6097.
