ACHS Homecoming Will Be Held Tonight
The Adair County High School basketball homecoming is scheduled to take place tonight between the girl's and boy's double header against Clinton County. The boy's game is scheduled for tip-off at 5:30 p.m. with the homecoming ceremony directly following. The candidates for this year's homecoming are: •Representing Golf is Dea Brandon, the 17-year-old daughter of Darren and Lori Brandon, escorted by Charles Breeding, the 17-year-old son of Glenn and Lesha Breeding. •Representing S.A.D.D. and Champions Against Drugs is Tara Dawn Corbin, the 18-year-old daughter of Carolyn Thompson, escorted by Seth Williams, the 16-year-old son of Tina Graves. •Representing National Art Honor Society is Maranda Carter the 18-year-old daughter of Stacy Carter, escorted by Nick Coffey, the 17-year-old son of Ricky and Sherri Coffey. •Representing Pep Club is Chelsea Beard the 18-year-old daughter of Johnny and Melinda Beard, escorted by Tim Beard, the 18-year-old son of Tim and Cathy Beard. •Representing BETA is Emily Ellis the 17-year-old daughter of Robert and Tammy Ellis, escorted by Chris Lloyd the 18-year-old son of Doyle and Mary Lloyd. •Representing Band is Sarah Terry, the 18-year-old daughter of Kim and Brent Terry, escorted by Coty Herbst, the 14-year-old son of David and Rosie Herbst. •Representing Baseball is Whitney Maurath, the 17-year-old daughter of Chris and Jamie Maurath, escorted by Joseph Grider, the 17-year-old son of William and Lee Grider. •Representing Football is Shelby Robertson, the 18-year-old daughter of Tammy Harden and Bryan Robertson, escorted by Colton Hadley, the 18-year-old son of Jamie and Annette Hadley. •Representing Track and Field is Krisandra Thomas, the 18-year-old daughter of David and Shannon Thomas, escorted by Tyler Absher, the 17-year-old son of Allen and Teresa Absher. •Representing Lady Indians Basketball is Whitney Rodgers, the 17-year-old daughter of Tandy and Larry Rodgers, escorted by Tristan Reece, the 17-year old son of Stacy Melton and Anthony Reece. •Representing Softball is Bethany Herron, the 17-year-old daughter of Michelle and Weldon Herron, escorted by Dylan Newton, the 18-year-old son of Helen Newton and Mike Newton. •Representing Science Club is Anna Powell, the 17-year-old daughter of Doug and Katie Campbell and Chris and Sondra Powell, escorted by Alec Beard, the 17-year-old son of Chris and April Beard. • Representing Cheerleading is Jessica Bardin, the 17-year-old daughter of Barry and Tracy Bardin, escorted by Jacob Pyles, the 18-year-old son of Doug and Tammy Pyles. •Representing Volleyball is Sarah Thompson, the 17-year-old daughter of Rodney and Amy Thompson, escorted by Joshua Wilkerson, the 17-year-old son of Gordon Wilkerson and the late Tammy Wilkerson. •Representing Indians Basketball is Tabitha Hanley, the 18-year-old daughter of Vicki Hanley and Murphy Hanley, escorted by Blake Perkins, the 18-year-old son of Kenny and Rene Perkins. •Representing Tennis is Heather Jasper, the 17-year-old daughter of Betty Sue Jasper and Clifford Jasper, escorted by Caleb Ezell, the 17-year-old son of Kim Ezell and Scott Ezell. •Representing FCCLA is Ashley Pegg, the 17-year-old daughter of Chad and Nicole Pegg, escorted by Marty Morris, the 17-year-old son of David and Vicki Pierce. •Representing National Honor Society is Paige Coomer, the 17-year-old daughter of Steve and Lou Anne Coomer, escorted by Elton Cheng, the 17-year-old son of Peter and Pauline Cheng. •Representing FCA is Ariel Harris, the 18-year-old daughter of Melissa Dickerson, escorted by Zachary Mann, the 17-year-old son of Greg and Deanna Mann. The 2008-2009 Basketball Homecoming Queen Amy Irvin will be present to crown the new queen.
