JAYCEES RADIO AUCTION To be Held DEC. 2, 3
The Adair County Jaycees annual Radio Auction will be held this Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 2nd and 3rd, on WAIN 93.5. The auction will get underway at 6 p.m. each night. All proceeds from the auction will go to buy food and toys for needy families at Christmas and to help others who suffer losses (from fires, storms, etc.) throughout the year. This year's auction features a wide variety of items and services donated by area merchants, institutions and individuals. Two of the top items to be auctioned off are a CDL (commercial driver's license) course from Lake Cumberland CDL School in Russell Springs which has a value of $4,000 and three semester hours for the Spring 2010 semester at Lindsey Wilson College which has a value of $2,205. Four woodcarvings created at this year's Adair County Fair - a wildcat bench, eagle, bear and raccoon - will also be on the auction block. Donations are still being accepted by the Jaycees. For more information, or to make a donation, call 384-5055, 384-4524 or 378-0858. A complete list of the items to be auction can be found in the Jaycees' ad on page 4.
