TWO INJURED IN Sunday Crash At Cane Valley

Two people were transported to Westlake Regional Hospital for treatment following a three-vehicle chain reaction collision on KY 55 North in the Cane Valley community Sunday afternoon.
According to the report from the Kentucky State Police, the accident occurred at 4:15 p.m. Sunday approximately seven miles north of Columbia.
Velva Burton, 47, of Columbia, operating a 1993 Mercury, was traveling southbound on KY 55 when she struck a 2000 GMC pickup being operated by Bobby Pelley, 51, of Columbia, which was also southbound. Burton's vehicle was then struck from behind by a 1997 Chevy S-10 being operated by Bethany Boston, 18, of Summer Shade.
Both Burton and Boston were transported to Westlake Regional by the Adair County EMS for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
Bobby Pelley and two passengers in his vehicle, 81-year-old Clyde Pelley and 80-year-old Louise Pelley, were not injured.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Tracy Haynes. Trooper John Boyd, the Adair County Sheriff's Department and Columbia Police Department also assisted at the scene.
One in accident near Sparksville
A Clinton County woman was injured in a two vehicle accident Sunday night on KY 61 South near Sparksville.
Margaret S. Williams, 70, of Albany was transported to Westlake Regional Hospital by the Adair County EMS following the accident, which occurred at 6:20 p.m. Sunday eight miles south of Columbia.
According to the report from the Kentucky State Police, the accident occurred when Anthony B. Roach, 38, of Louisville, operating a 1981 Peterbilt tractor-trailer, had just pulled onto the northbound lane of KY 61 from Blue Ridge Circle and the left rear wheel of the trailer was slightly over the centerline in the southbound lane. Williams, operating 2001 Oldsmobile was traveling south on KY 61 and struck the trailer wheel.
Roach was not injured in the accident, and both drivers were wearing seat belts.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Tracy Haynes, who was assisted at the scene by the Adair County EMS and the Breeding Area Fire Department.
