NCAA CONTEST BRACKETS AVAILABLE MONDAY

The NCAA Men’s Championship Basketball Tournament gets underway next week, and as usual, The Adair Progress will have it’s annual Brackets Contest with the winner receiving $300 cash.

Due to the change in publication date to Thursday, the day the tournament gets fully underway, brackets for the contest will be available earlier in the week. BRACKETS CAN BE PICKED UP AT THE ADAIR PROGRESS OFFICE AFTER 12:00 NOON ON MONDAY, MAR. 18.

Brackets for the full tournament, as well as the first-round tournament that is a part of our regular weekly basketball contest, can be picked up anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. The brackets will also appear in next week’s issue of the Progress, which will be on newsstands around town on Wednesday evening.

As has been the case in the past since the tournament was expanded to 68 teams, contest entrants will automatically be given the winner of each of the four first-round games played on Tuesday night. However, anyone picking a winner of a first-round game to advance further than the next round must have that team picked correctly.

Mailed-in entries must be postmarked by Wednesday, Mar. 20 to be eligible for the contests. Entries should be mailed to: Adair Progress Basketball Contest, P.O. Box 595, Columbia, KY 42728.

 Entries can be dropped off at the Progress office anytime prior to the start of the first game on Thursday (around noon). Absolutely no entries will be accepted after the start of the first Thursday game. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Complete rules for the contest will be contained in the special bracket section available Monday.
